1. In the Sanctuary, Chancel and Choir:

• 1.1 Marble tablet.
  To The Memory Of The Rev'd. William John Parker, First Principal of The Lawrence Military Asylum, who was selected by the Founders Sir Henry and Lady Lawrence; to carry out their benevolent design. He took charge of the Asylum in 1847, when it contained but few Children, and lived to see nearly 500 within its walls. The buildings in which they live, and the Church in which they worship, were designed and erected by him. Faithfully and devotedly he performed the duty entrusted to him ; and after more than fifteen years of unbroken labour and responsibility, be was attacked by paralysis, while performing Divine Service with his flock on Sunday 28th December 1862, and died January 1st 1863, in his 51st year. This monument is erected by the Government of India, in grateful acknowledgment of his services to Soldiers Children.
 
• 1.2 Marble tablet.
  Sacred to the Memory of The Revd. John Cole, For 20 years, 1864-1884, Chaplain and Principal of The Lawrence Military Asylum, Sanawar Who died at Isle Brewers, Somerset, on Nov. 30 1906, Aged 76 "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord" This tablet is erected in loving remembrance by some of the Old Sanawar Boys and Girls.
 
• 1.3 Marble tablet.
  To the glory of God and Sacred to the Memory of The Reverend Alfred Herbert Hildesley 3rd Principal who from April 1st 1884 to 1912 devoted his life, holding nothing back, to the Boys and Girls of British soldiers at the Lawrence Military Asylum Sanawar Serving their best interest of Body, Mind and Spirit. He loved this mountain home and had a great care for its beauty. He was a Master of Arts of the University of Cambridge (St. John's College), graduating as 16th Junior Optime in the Mathematical Tripos in 1879, and a Fellow of the Punjab University. He was awarded the Kaiser-1-Hind Gold Medal for Public service. Vicar of Wyton, Huntingdonshire From 1912 to 1935 Born 1857-died 1939. This Memorial is erected by Old Sanawarians and other friends, 1943.

2. In the North Aisle:

• 2.1 Marble tablet, Virgin and Child.
  To the Glory of God and in affectionate memory of Elizabeth Softly. Born Jan. 25th 1879. Died June 24th 1929. Kindliness and understanding personified she was a real mother to all.
 
• 2.2 Brass plaque.
  In memory of Grace Davin, 1 January 1892, R.I.P

3. Baptistry (North Aisle)

• 3.1 Marble tablet.
  In Affectionate Memory of the Lady Honoria Lawrence, the Beloved wife of the Founder Who died in the Lord at Mount Abo in Rajpootana. January 15th 1854 aged 45 years. She was a true friend to the soldier, and a worthy help-meet to her husband in all his benevolent designs, and especially in establishing this Institution.
 
• 3.2 Bust of the Founder
  Sacred to the memory of Sir H M Lawrence, K.C.B. Founder of this Institution Born June 28th 1805. Died July 1857
 
• 3.3 Marble tablet.
  In Memory of Letitia Catherine Infant daughter of Henry Montgomery and Honoria Lawrence who was born Novr. 1840 and died August 1st 1841. She was buried at Subathoo. Also In Memory of A H Lawrence Eldest son of Sir H M Lawrence KCB. who was born September 6th 1838 and died August 27th 1864. He was buried at Simla.
 
• 3.4 Stained glass Window.
  The stained glass window in the baptistry is dedicated to the memory of Lady Honoria Lawrence, wife of the Founder. It was put up in 1854 by Mr. Parker, 1st Principal, and the boys of the Lawrence Military Asylum.
 
• 3.5 Marble tablet
  Sacred To the memory of Sir Henry Montgomery Lawrence K.C.B Brigadier General Chief Commissioner in Oudh. He commanded the Garrison of Lucknow at the outbreak of the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857; was wounded by a shell on the 2nd and died on the 4th day of July 1857. Aged 52 years Full of peace and Christian hope. This institution which he originated, and to which he contributed 87000 Rupees, is his best Monument. This Tablet is erected by a few friends and the Officers and Children of this Asylum to express the reverence & affection which they have for his memory. In his last hours he committed this Asylum to the fostering care of the Government which he had so long and faithfully served; and the trust has been generously accepted. Commending his soul to the mercy of God in Christ he thus bestowed his body; "Let me be buried with the soldiers. Let nothing be put on my grave but the text Daniel IX vs IX : "To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses tho' we have rebelled against him" and "HERE LIES HENRY LAWRENCE WHO TRIED TO DO HIS DUTY".

4. On the West Wall

- (either side of door):

• 4.1 Stained glass window with Brass plaque
  To the Glory of God and in memory of Sergt. and Mrs. Keeling for 20 years on the Staff of the Henry Lawrence School for children of British soldiers. A task in which they displayed with great love and affection.
  This window is dedicated by Sanawarians, Past and Present, To the Greater Glory of God and in loving memory of Elizabeth Sarah Keeling A member of the Asylum Staff from 1890-1908. Thy praise shall sanctify our rest.
 
• 4.2 Stained glass window with Brass plaque.
  This window is dedicated by Sanawarians, Past and Present, To the Greater Glory of God and in loving memory of Philip Keeling, A member of the Asylum Staff from 1889-1914. "Thine for ever".

5. In the South Aisle:

• 5.1 Brass plaque
  To the Glory of God and in memory of Frederick Sydney Cousins, Lieutenant I. U. L. Chief Clerk and Steward 1885-1914 Born 7th July, 1858. Died 6th February, 1925. Erected by those who were privileged to know his kindness, courtesy and rectitude. Well done, thou good and faithful servant.
 
• 5.2 Brass plaque
  In loving memory of Ian Forrest Sgt. Pilot R.A.F. Killed in action in Italy on the night of lOth-l1th November 1944 Aged 25 years and four months. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his own life for his friends.
 
• 5.3 Brass plaque
  In loving memory of Hugh Hannan Stanley, Corporal 1st Bn. Royal Irish Rifles, who was killed !n France on the lOth March 1915, while gallantly cutting the German wire entanglements at Neuve Chapelle. Aged 24 years. This tablet is erected by his mother and father to a brave and devoted son, and is placed by them in the chapel of his Old School and home. Thy will be done
 
• 5.4 Brass plaque
  To the Glory of God and in ever loving and sacred memory of my only son Charles Robert Trowadale. 2nd. Lieutenant, Kings Royal Rifles, who died of wounds on the 3rd October 1918, whilst serving in France. This tablet is erected by his mother in the little Church where he first learnt to know God and to sing his praises. All things work together for good to them that love God.
 
• 5.5 Tablet
  Sacred to the memory of Edward Miller Cowell, Esquire. Formerly a merchant of Calcutta, who died 30th April 1859 at Great Malvern, Worcestershire, England. This Tablet has, been placed in the Church in grateful acknowledgment of a Benefaction bequeathed by him to the Lawrence Military Asylum Sanawar.
 
• 5.6 Tablet
  To the Glory of God and in memory of C. F. Oliver who for nearly 27 years faithfully did his duty in this Asylum. He won the respect of his colleagues and the affection of his pupils.
 
• 5.7 Marble (white tablet)
  To the memory of Major Thomas Henry Hill, C. I. E. An inmate of this institution from 1849 to 1857. Born Feby. 14th 1844. Died Feby. 19th 1930.
 
• 5.8 Stained glass window
  To the Glory of God and in affectionate memory of Cecil Hugh Line who in Sanawar as a boy, as a Student of the Training Class and finally as a master endeared himself to all. He enlisted with the first Sanawar contingent in June 1915 and died in the service of the Empire in Mesopotamia on the 14th July 1917 aged 25 , years. This window is erected by Sanawarians Past and Present.
 
• 5.9 Tablet
  In Affectionate Memory of James Tilley Chief Clerk of the L. R. M. S. 1914 to 1929. He transmuted the base metal of everyday life into the gold of a priceless service.

• 5.11 Stained glass window, (behind the altar of the Side Chapel).
  In beautiful memory of Elgar Seymour Hunt and of his children, Gloria and Theo Hunt. Dedicated at a special memorial service conducted by the Rt. Rev. H. Packenham-Walsh in June 1934.

6. The South Transept and Chapel Grounds.

• 6.1 South Portal and Porch, (Plaque)
  This Ante-Porch and Bell-Turret were erected in memory of the Founder by Col. Herbert Edwardes, C.B., H.E.I.C.S. AD 1858.
  

  [This beautiful Porch was commissioned by Colonel Herbert Benjamin Edwardes and dedicated to the memory of his friend and exemplar Henry Montgomery Lawrence. It was designed and built by the Reverend William J Parker in 1858. His monogram is carved just below the bell tower. See pictures elsewhere in this album].
