Notes:

It is clear from the baptismal records that this first wife of Thomas William Bullock was of native, South Indian birth. Their first recorded child, Thomas was born in 1813. It is therefore likely that they were married in about 1812. At that time the 22nd Light Dragoons had just returned from the Expedition to Java and the Regiment was billetted at Bangalore, in present day Karnataka. She is accordingly believed to have been of Kannada or Tamil descent, the two main races of Mysore people living in the area at the time. The European name given to her would imply acceptance to the Anglican church prior to marriage, but so far, there is no evidence to support this. It is notable that three of her children are recorded as having been baptised "... according to the rubric of the Church of England", an unusual form of words implying that one or other parent was not, or may not have been of the Anglican faith. She bore Thomas William six children altogether and died in 1825 or 1826. Sadly, no details - although research continues....
