Eliza married John Henry (Samuel) INGRAM, son of Samuel John INGRAM and Eliza FROST, on 24 Oct 1869 in Southend-On-Sea, Essex, England. (John Henry (Samuel) INGRAM was born on 18 Jan 1849 in Southchurch, Essex, England and died on 27 Apr 1929 in Dunedin, South Island New Zealand.)

There were altogether 10 children from this marriage. Three were born in England, (two of whom sadly, died in infancy). John Henry (Samuel), his wife Eliza and their surviving four year old son John Samuel (Jack) emigrated to New Zealand on board the "Zealandia" out of Gravesend for Port Chalmers on the South Island in July 1875. Their remaining seven children, (one of whom died in infancy) were all born New Zealanders.
