2. He attended the Government Training Class (Teacher Training College) about 1912-1915 at the Lawrence Military Asylum in Sanawar, Himachal Pradesh, India.

3. He graduated from Government Training Class, LMA Sanawar, Himachal Pradesh, India with 2nd Class Teacher's Diploma in 1915.

4. He was employed as an Assistant Master in 1916 in the Lawrence Memorial Military Asylum Lovedale, Nilgiri Hills, Tamil Nadu, India.

5. He worked as a Teacher at the Lawrence Memorial Royal Military School Lovedale about 1924-1940 in Lovedale, (Ootacamund) Nilgiri Hills, Tamil Nadu, India.

6. He volunteered for service with the Auxilliary Forces India (AFI) at Ootacamund, Tamil Nadu, India on 3 Nov 1928 and was granted the rank of Major in Mar 1931.
