Notes:

Jane Maria Margaret Bullock, affectionately known to all as "Birdie" was born in Bangalore in 1890. Like many of her siblings, she attended the Lawrence School, Lovedale, near Ootacamund in the Nilgiri Hills as a boarder from 1897 to about 1909. After leaving school she stayed at the home of her half-brother George Charles in Madurai, and was present when her mother died there in 1910 while nursing George Charles's wife and young baby daughter. She married David Robertson at St. Matthias' Church, Vepery, Madras in 1921, and shortly after moved with her husband to "Bramley Vale", Lovedale, (Ootacamund) which was to be their home for the next 25 years. Following the marriage of her eldest daughter Jean Margaret in 1946, the family emigrated to Australia and settled in New South Wales, (no dates). They lived first, (very aptly) in Lovedale (NSW) before moving to Balgowlah. She had two daughters and was widowed in 1961.

Aunt Birdie died at her home in Balgowah in January 1976 at the age of 86. 5
