Notes:

The youngest of James' and Mary Ann's children, she was named after her grandfather's second wife Anna VERDUIJN and her maternal great-grandmother Ruth Anna, (wife of Joseph Librecht Verduijn). She was familiarly and affectionately known to all as "Aunt V".

Ruth Anna Verduyn Bullock evidently married a John Hanson, Ray or Hanson-Ray in Sri Lanka, (Ceylon) in about 1936, and the couple moved to England in the same year. So far no details of her marriage have been found. However, her husband John was said to have died suddently and tragically shortly after their marriage. There were no children. Ruth evidently returned to India and/or Ceylon and remained there until December 1950 when she left the sub-continent for good on board RMS Circassia, bound for the United Kingdom. The Passenger List shows her as Ruth Anna Hanson-Ray, an unaccompanied widow. Her destination address is given as Hampstead, London.

She is known to have been living in Golder's Green, London in August 1973 under the name of Ruth Anna Verduyn Hanson. She remained a widow for the rest of her life, and died in 1979 in Barnet, Middlesex, England.
