Notes:

Charles BODDINGTON was born in August 1871. His birth certificate shows his father as John Boddington, a "Shoe Rivetter" by profession and his mother as Anne Boddington (formerly Benton) living at Portland Place, Northampton. He first appears in the 1881 Census at the age of 9. He is shown to be living with his parents and siblings at Gray Street, in the parish of St. Andrew's, Northampton.
He married Alice Cook, a 19 year old machinist at St Andrew's Church, Northampton on 25 December 1890. His marriage certificate shows his occupation as "Welt Sewer" living at 3 Watkins Place, Northampton.
In the 1891 Census, Charles and his young wife Alice are shown to be living with his parents at Milton Street in the Parish of Kingsthorpe. His occupation is described as a "Shoe Rivetter". They are both said to be 19 years of age.
The 1901 Census shows him living at Sharwoods Terrace in the parish of Irchester, East Northamptonshire. His occupation is described as "Shoe Puller Over (Laster)". He and his family evidently moved back into Northampton some time before 1911. The census for that year shows his household at 22 Althorp Street in the parish of St. Giles.
